Civil War: Battlefield & Homefront
Tues-Sat 9 am-5 pm, Sun 12-5 pm
Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Center, Fremont
$7.50/adult, $6.50/senior, $3/child (6-12). Closed on Easter.
The year 2011 marks the 150th anniversary of the start of America's Civil War. On the exact date that the first Confederate shots were fired on Fort Sumter - the act that marked the war's start - the Hayes Presidential Center opens Civil War: Battlefield & Homefront. The exhibit interprets the war years using the letters of Northwest Ohio residents who served in the war and those who stayed behind. Much has been written about the lives of soldiers who served in the war, but the lives of those back at home is virtually unexplored.

Entering the picture are a cat burgler and a cop on the take, and the show becomes larceny for laughter as the cheaters start cheating the cheaters! Can these four profit together? You'll have to come see for yourself as this show provides you with the great John Patrick style of humor as seen in "Everybody Loves Opal" and "The Curious Savage", both produced previously on the Playmaker stage.
